The Goa High Court has scheduled August 6 for the pronouncement of its judgment in the criminal appeal filed by the Government of Goa challenging the trial court’s acquittal of senior journalist and former Tehelka Editor-in-Chief, Tarun Tejpal, in the 2013 rape case.
The state had appealed against the trial court’s verdict, which acquitted Tejpal of charges relating to the alleged rape of a junior colleague who was employed at Tehelka at the time of the incident in 2013.
