MARGAO: The fire that broke out at the Bank of India, Margao branch, has caused a loss of Rs 80-90 lakh, according to the bank officials. They said that the computer assembly and the documents of the loan department (NRI division) have been totally destroyed. Sources say the fire may have erupted as early as 8 o’clock due to a short circuit and realised after the smoke was seen. The Fire Department Officials however have asked for a detailed report from the bank.
