PANJIM: Close to 16,000 frontline warriors will be given vaccine dose against COVID-19 from Monday.
The frontline workers comprising police personnel, home guards, municipal workers, Panchayat Raj institution workers, personnel/volunteers involved in disaster management among others have registered themselves to get the vaccine.
Vaccination of healthcare workers, which is scheduled to be completed by February 12, has so far seen 7,246 approximately beneficiaries being vaccinated through 141 sessions held till Saturday across Goa. Most health workers in the State will be vaccinated by February 12, with 14-15 sessions of 100 vaccinations each being carried out per day via different hospitals across Goa.
Since January 16, when the drive commenced Pan India, Goa has received 41,500 doses of the Covishield vaccine in two installments. The third consignment is expected by next week.
