Salgaocar restrict Dempo in GPL finals

Dempo Sports Club were bowled out for 118 runs against Salgaocar Sports Club in the first day of Goa Premier League cricket tournament finals at BITS ground, on Saturday.
Dhanraj Sharma took 5 for 28 for Salgaocar and emerged as the highest wicket taker with 30 wickets in his kitty. In reply, Salgaocar were 57 runs for no loss in 9 overs.
Dempo’s batting line up crumbled as wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals. At one stage, Dempo were 46 for 5.
For Dempo, Arpit Vasavada topscored with 27, followed by Iliyas Naroo 17, Srirang Kapse 16 and Mandar Chiplunkar 13 not out. For Salgaocar, Dhanraj was supported by
Sherbahadur Yadav who took three wickets while Narayan Kambli and Vidhyadhar Kamat took one wicket each for Salgaocar.
In reply Salgaocar were 57 for no loss. Sagun Kamat 33 not out and Swapnil Asnodkar 24 not out were at the crease.
