MARGAO: Stating that Goa does not need double tracking, South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha requested the Government and Forest Department not to unnecessarily cut the trees.

“We have to come ahead. We don’t want this line to help someone by clearing forest trees,” he said.
Sardinha said the austerity measures taken up by the Government are not enough and should try its level best to start legal mining in Goa.
He demanded there is a need to revive the Tourism in Goa.
“Normally, this is the sickness of this government they think they know too much. They should meet all the stakeholders and discuss the issues so that sooner or later the tourism in Goa starts,” he said.
