Curtorim Old beat Curtorim Gold 2-1 in an exhibition football match at Curtorim grounds, on Thursday.
Curtorim Old, comprising mostly of yesteryears players showed their artistic skill with good positional play and put tremendous pressure on the Curtorim Gold defense.
Seby Fernandes put Curtorim Old into the lead when he bulged the net from close range. Spurred by the early successs, Curtorim Old doubled the lead through Sovenir Dias.
Stung by the setback, Curtorim Gold galvanized their attack and showed some urgency in their approach and succeeded in pulling one back through Salvador Cardozo.
Souvenir Dias of Curtorim Old was adjudged man-of-the match.
Armando Colaco, chief coach of Dempo Sports Club and Inacinho Sardinha, former Curtorim Gymkhana player, distributed the prizes.
