A two-day national conference on e-Governance will be held in Goa under the joint auspices of the Union Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DAR&PG) and the Union Department of Information Technology (IT), in cooperation with the Goa Department of IT, on February 12 and 13.
Governor of Goa Dr Shivinder Singh Sidhu will inaugurate the conference at Hotel Holiday Inn, Cavelossim, at 5.30 pm on February 12. Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will preside.
A total of 800 delegates are expected to attend the conference, including ministers, chief secretaries, secretaries, heads of departments of various states, captains of industries, NGOs and the student community, from professional colleges among others related with the IT Sector.
During the two-day conference, awards will be presented for meritorious contribution to the IT Sector. From the Goa side, Secretary for Information and Publicity Narendra Kumar, IT Secretary Udipta Ray, Infotech Corporation Managing Director Shantaram R Shet, and Director for Art and Culture Prasad Loleyekar are coordinating efforts.
