Manovikas EMS, St Jude’s HS, Perpetual Succour Convent win

MARGAO: Yohann & Lochlan Sousa propelled Manovikas EMS to the top of group B with a thumping 12-0 victory over Posh English High School in the first match of day 6 of the 3rd Chowgule Sports Centre U-10 Futsal League organised by YFA and co sponsored by Capitao Security Services pvt ltd and The King’s School, at Chowgule Sports Centre, on Saturday.
Man-of-the-match Yohann scored five goals and had two assists to his name while Skipper Lochlan scored four and assisted thrice. Dhruv Pai, Jaime Soares and Earl Gonsalves scored a goal each for the winners.
St Jude’s HS, Betalbatim overcame stiff competition from Child Care School to register a 2-0 victory in match 32 of the league. 
Reans Gonsalves and Vevon Fernandes scored after the break to give St Jude’s full points. Hari Krishna of Child Care School was adjudged the man-of-the-match.
Rosary HS scored a come from behind 7-3 victory over Vidya Vikas Academy to boost their chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals stage. 
Earlier, Ethan Fernandes and star forward Warren Rodrigues gave Vidya Vikas a well deserved lead but Sweedon Costa scored just before half-time to make things uncomfortable for Vidya Vikas. 
An own goal right at the start of the second period gave Vidya Vikas a two goal lead again but Celi Rebello pulled one back three minutes later to rattle Vidya Vikas and soon Vidya Vikas started losing steam while Rosary picked up the momentum midway through the second session. Man-of-the-match Sweedon Costa went on a rampage as he scored five times in eight minutes to stun Vidya Vikas.
Jaden Dias was on fire as he scored a double hat-trick to propel Saviour of the World HS, Loutolim to a big 8-3 win over Regina Martyrum, Assolna. Stallon Fernandes and Aswhin Miranda were the other scorers. Ethan Luis and Neil Fernandes scored for Regina. Jaden was awarded the man-of-the-match prize.
Loyola HS and The Kings School played out a 4-4 draw in the most thrilling game in the league till date. 
A frantic opening minute saw Trond Dias give TKS the lead before Skipper Irwin Faleiro restored parity from the spot inside the first minute of the match. An own goal from Loyola HS just a minute later gave The Kings School the lead again and it stayed that way as Jerrel Godinho managed to keep shot after shot away from the opponent’s net. 
His saves were rewarded as Trond Dias scored another to give kings a two-goal advantage in the 11th minute of the first half.
 But that lead was cut to one as Joshua Carvalho scored on the stroke of half-time for Loyola.
 Trond Dias completed his hat-trick two restore the two goal lead but their joy was short-lived as Reuben Barbosa showed some clinical finishing with a brace of goals in four minutes to tie the game at 4-4. 
Thereafter, it was a nervy affair as both teams tried to grab a winner but Jerrel stood tall among the two custodians as he deservedly took home the man-of-the-match prize.
Perpetual Succour Convent HS inflicted a first defeat for Futebol Club YFA by 2-1, as Perpetual continued their unbeaten run in the league. 
After a exciting but barren first half, Emmanuel Gama scored a brace in two minutes midway through the second session to give Perpetual a 2-0 lead. 
Soham Mane managed to reduce the deficit with three minutes to go but it was a little too late as YFA could not get the equaliser they were looking for. 
Reuel Barreto was adjudged the man-of-the-match was his performance in goal as well as a striker for YFA.
