Parish Youth Nuvem Triumphs Over Sao Jose de Areal in Thrilling Tie-Breaker

RAIA: Parish Youth Nuvem down Sao Jose de Areal Sports Club, 7-6, via the tie-breaker to enter into the quarterfinals of Simon Barreto Memorial football tournament, organised by Maina Sports Club, at DYSA ground, Curtorim, on Thursday.

It was battle of supremacy on the field as two aspirants of finals were working hard with their striker from end-to-end and keeping eye on the defence too.

As match was evenly poised Parish Youth Nuvem got a free kick outside the box and well taken by Niclau Colaco but Macklin Coutinho header missed the target by whisker and went out of play while Areal Aran Endro gave through pass to Darryl Costa, whose shot hit the cross bar and went out of play

Both the teams showcase their talent but couldn’t broke the deadlock till the final whistle.

In the resultant tie-breaker, Parish Youth Nuvem scored through Niclau Colaco, Alvito Dias, Frazer Miranda, Shenoy Colaco, Cedar Colaco, Drawin Colaco and Mackvino Colaco while Sao Jose de Areal Darryl Costa, Bresal Viegas, Tyson Carvalho, Aryan Carvalho, Stalen Oliveira and Presden Viegas found the net.

Tyson Carvalho of Sao Jose de Areal was awarded man-of-the-match by Ismail Sayed.
