Succour defeated Asumpta Convent HS of Sarzora 3-0. Joseph D’Sa, Ashwin Cardozo and M. Asif Mirchi were the scorers. Saviour of the World trounced AIM Salcete HS of Davorlim 6-0. Jayden Fernandes scored a brace. Jaden Dias, Vickey Kumar, Brice Baptista and Ashwin Miranda added one each.The King’s School scored a resounding 7-0 win over Cuncolim United HS. Elrad Braganza netted four, Alloysius Fernandes scored a brace while Aarya Da Costa netted one.

Loyola HS defeated OL of Rosary HS, Fatorda, 7-0. Joseph Da Costa netted four. Reuban Barbosa scored a brace and Andreas Furtado scored one.
Meanwhile, football connoisseurs attending the matches at Dramapur found something unusual as the inter-school matches were not being played in two halves of same duration, especially whenever one team was leading by a huge margin against the other. After the normal half of 35 minutes, often the second half would be played for just 20 minutes and if the margin of defeat was too big even 17 minutes, they pointed out. This, they alleged was done with the consent of both the teams’ officials. They pointed out that as per the Laws Of The Game of Football (LOTG) both halves must be of equal duration, unless one team runs short of the minimum number of players due to injuries.
Also, they felt that matches were being played despite heavy, water-logged conditions following incessant rains. These conditions made it pretty difficult for the youngsters to kick the ball even for a very short distance. This they said was resorted to as the organisers had to somehow or the other meet the deadline to submit the names of the qualifying schools for the main event in Delhi.
