After a barren first half, the all-important goal was scored by Jerose Oliveira in the 50th minute. Striker Jerose received a clever ball from Nicolhas Fernandes and slotted past the rival goalkeeper with a neat placement.
Earlier, Goa defeated Maharashtra 2-1, and Daman n Diu 17-1. Thus Goa qualified for the last round of 69th edition.
Goa will play their last match against Madhya Pradesh on January 19.
