MAPUSA: Assonora United Football Club had to wait for the tie-breaker before registering a 3-1 win via tie-breaker over Dunes SC, Mandrem to move into the final of the Late Pramodini Dattaram Palyekar Soccer Cup organized by Football Club of Siolim at Siolim church ground, on Wednesday.
In a thrilling encounter, the teams played attacking soccer, but the strikers failed to score in the 70 minutes duel, which finally ended in a goalless draw.
To decide the winners the tie-breaker was enforced where for Assonora FC side Rajesh, Prajot and Vijit scored on target while for Dunes colts only Shashank Ashvekar scored.
