Triple crowns for Tanisha, Arjun

PANJIM: Tanisha Crasto and Arjun Fallary won triple crowns while Aashrun Gautam and Sushil Nayak won double crowns each, at the All-Goa Junior Major Ranking Badminton Championship organised by Sunny Sports Club in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor stadium, Campal, on Saturday.

PANJIM: Tanisha Crasto and Arjun Fallary won triple crowns while Aashrun Gautam and Sushil Nayak won double crowns each, at the All-Goa Junior Major Ranking Badminton Championship organised by Sunny Sports Club in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor stadium, Campal, on Saturday. 
In the final, Aashrun won the junior (U-19) boys singles title while the U-17 boys singles title was won by Sushil Nayak. In the girls section, Tanisha Crasto, who has won 4 medals for Goa in the last one year, exhibited her class and superiority, winning both the U-17 and U-19 girls singles titles. 
In the doubles events, Aashrun combined with Arjun Fallary to pocket the U-19 boys doubles title while Arjun and Sushil lifted the U-17 boys doubles title with a hard fought win in the final. 
In U-19 girls doubles, the top seeded pair of Yasmin Sayed and Neha Sahakari emerged triumphant while Arjun and Tanisha emerged victorious in the U-19 mixed doubles event. 
Dy Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant, Secretary, Goa Badminton Association Sandeep Heble, Sports organisers Hilary Fernandes and Darwin Barreto, Tournament director Luciano Saores and tournament officials Roy Ataide and Pradosh Silimkhan graced the final.
