CALANGUTE: An alert citizen of Calangute foiled an attempt by motorcycle bound chain snatchers along the Nagoa-Parra road on Thursday night.
According to sources, a woman and her two children from Parra were returning home on her two-wheeler at about 8 pm, when two persons on a motorcycle blocked them near a wine shop on the road leading to Nagoa-Parra.
Sources informed that the woman stopped the scooter and one of the two persons tried to snatch the gold chain from around her neck. The woman shouted for help and a local from Calangute, rushed to her aid.
