PANJIM: A local activist has filed a criminal complaint against an earlier body of the village panchayat of St Cruz and the Secretary for altering and fabricating panchayat records for the benefit of private builders.
In his complaint to Old Goa Police Station, Inacio Domnic Pereira said that the village panchayat body on July 20, 2014, in connivance with the panchayat Secretary had fabricated and made a false plan of a road, resolved in a council meeting and proposed a 10-metre-wide road in Calapur in a particular survey number.
Pereira said that there was neither an existing road nor a pathway where the Panchayat had proposed the road by altering and manipulating the records.
It is also evident that the plan was handmade and annexed with the resolution copy to the government.
