Pratima demands inquiry into allegations of SC judges

MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho demanded an enquiry by senior legal fraternity members in the allegations made by the four judges of the Supreme Court yesterday and said it was a black day for Indian democracy when the pillars of the temple of justice had to resort to asking the nation to decide.
Briefing media persons, she said the incident not only took away the proud moment of ISRO launching the 100th satellite but also made every Indian’s head hang in shame as it was alleged that the political class was interfering with the judiciary.
“The judges said that sensitive cases are being allotted to junior judges only to get a desired order and this is bad for jurisprudence,” she said.
