MAPUSA: Holy Cross High School, Siolim clinched the Bardez Taluka U-17 girls Subroto Mukherjee football tournament, defeating Little Flower of Jesus High School, Calangute 3-1 via tie-breaker in the final played at GFA Stadium, Duler, on Wednesday.
There were no score at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Asmiksha Shirodkar and Cinderella DaCosta converted for the Siolim team while only Percy Candes managed to net for the Little Flower School.
In the third place match, St Michael’s Convent Vagator got the better of Sacred Heart of Jesus High School Anjuna 2-0 via the tie-breaker after the game ended in a goalless draw.
Aarti Rathod and Saloni Kalangutkar were on target for the Vagator school.
