NAVELIM: A fine hat-trick from Flani Costa helped Rosary Higher Secondary School, Navelim book their ticket to Delhi as they thrashed Our Lady of Rosary High School, Dona Paula 5-0 to emerge State champions in the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee girls football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Astroturf ground, Fatorda, on Monday.
In the second minute, Karen Estrocio missed a chance to score for the Dona Paula school.
Our Lady of Rosary HS, Navelim went all guns blazing as Flani Costa scored three goals in the third, 10th and 21st minutes while Jassel Masarenhas and Razia Pereira scored a goal each in the 45th and 57th minutes respectively.
By virtue of this win, Rosary HSS qualified to represent Goa in the All India Subroto Mukherjee U-17 girls football tournament to be played at New Delhi.
