KTC driver, conductor show an act of honesty

Return purse with gold chain and cash to lady passenger

Vasco: A Kadamba bus driver and conductor set an example of sincerity by returning a purse containing a gold chain and cash to a passenger.

According to information the lady passenger got into the bus at Shirdona to proceed to Margao. Later after she alighted from the bus she realised that she had left behind her purse in the bus and contacted the Margao KTC depot. 

The Margao depot in turn contacted the Panjim depot who later contacted the bus driver Rajesh Usapkar and conductor Mangesh Naik and inquired about the purse. Both said the passenger had left the purse and there was a gold chain and cash in it.

After confirmation the purse was handed over to the lady. The purse contained a 24 grams gold chain and some cash. 

The driver and conductor are being praised on social media for their act.

Later, when contacted KTCL chairperson and Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida applauded the honesty and work ethics exhibited by both the KTC staff. 

Almeida said,”he received several calls and messages from all over the world appreciating the KTC staff regarding their honesty. KTC will felicitate the conductor and the  driver for their good work,” he added.
