Unhygienic conditions at St Inez

We would like to bring to the attention of the concerned authorities regarding the unhygienic living conditions of the residents of C P Ashiyana, near Madhuban Complex, St Inez.  We are forced to keep the windows closed the entire day due to the open toilet space, which emanates foul smell.
In the Ludwado area, the owners have rented out their premises to the tenants without making a provision for a toilet/ bath facility, due to which these open toilets have sprung up.
The open drain in front of the building has turned into a waste dumping ground as people dump waste into it and the concerned authorities have failed to clean the drain.
Despite the regular collection of garbage has begun, our location has been neglected.   We are forced to dump garbage into a nearby bin.    People prepare ‘Narkasur’ effigies annually and leave the residue including the skeleton in front of the building, thereby blocking the building entrance.
The open drain is used by the locals as dustbin and toilet in the wee hours.
Despite paying house tax annually, we feel totally neglected by the CCP in all respects.
We request the concerned authorities to immediately cover the open drain and   collect the garbage on a regular basis.
We also call upon the authorities to put an end to open space being used as toilets/bath facility by putting up a Sulabh souchalaya in the area.
The landlords should make a provision for a souchalaya before renting out their rooms.
We hope the concerned authorities will take prompt action in improving our living conditions and provide us comfort on the clause of ‘Right to Live’.
