MARGAO: The Goa Forward Party today criticized the Union government’s notification on the sale of cattle for slaughtering.
TCP Minister Vijai Sardessai said, “Even though the notification won’t bring any threat to the Goan beef market, it would bring penury to farmers, meat traders, leather and hospitality industry in the country.”
Vijai however said that the daily reports making flip-flops by sometimes saying there is deficiency sometimes saying supply regularised may be a method to of beef hording by some in the trade.
