She also highlighted the need for qualitative improvement in urban administration and suggested various measures such as constant supervision against waste littering, installation of suitable hoardings at appropriate places, placing of adequate dust bins, enforcement of legal provisions to prevent illegal garbage dumping, awareness camps, etc.
Stresses on public participation Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan
PANJIM: Governor Mridula Sinha met with the Panjim Mayor and chairpersons of the municipal councils and the commissioner of CCP/chief officers of municipalities, at Raj Bhavan, on the Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan and emphasized the need for active involvement, participation and contribution of the people in successfully implementing this national programme, in addition to Government efforts.
