DRAMAPUR: Navelim SC defeated Rossman Cruz, Nagoa-Verna 7-5 via the tie-breaker to enter into the final of the 40th St Joseph football tournament, organised by Dramapur SC, at Dramapur ground, on Saturday.
Rossman Cruz started the match on the front foot and scored in the 2nd minute through Basilio Rego.
Navelim tried hard to find the equaliser and finally managed to draw level at the half-hour mark through Clinton Niasso.
Crossing ends, Navelim came back strongly and took the lead in the 58th minute through Sandy Colaco.
Rossman’s Vijay Rego long range effort kissed the cross bar and went out of play in the 60th minute.
Finally in the 68th minute, Rossman netted the equaliser through Beneston Barretto.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Navelim SC proved to be better shooters.
Navelim SC will meet Parish Youth Nuvem in the final.
