PANJIM: Four new COVID-19 suspected patients were admitted to the isolation ward of GMC on Thursday. At the same time, nine patients in quarantine have tested negative for the deadly virus.
One of the 7 patients, who had tested positive for coronavirus having recovered, has now been shifted to a quarantine centre, where he will be monitored for 14 days before being discharged.
As per the bulletin issued by the DHS, with the 4 new suspected COVID-19 patients admitted in GMC, the number in the isolation ward has gone up to 12.
On Thursday, 45 passengers were placed under home quarantine, while no new person was admitted in the facility quarantine.
Of the 24 samples pending for testing, 9 tested negative, while reports of 15 are awaited. Currently, there are 6 patients at the COVID hospital Margao.
Contacts quarantined at Margao Residency are 6, Old Goa Residency are 3 and 1 in the sub-district hospital at Ponda.
