BAMBOLIM: FC Goa has been the most attacking side in the league so far scoring 27 goals and the new signing Mark Sifneos believes playing under Sergio Lobera will help him score.
Mark was Kerala Blasters’ top goal scorer (four goals) in this edition before he joined FC Goa.
“The coaches played a very important role to get me here. In ISL, for me this is the best option to learn a lot. I think, since the coach got me here I will fit into his plans,” said the 19-Yesr-old.
Mark has been signed by Sergio as a replacement for Adrian Colunga, who was earlier released by the club.
“Every time I play, I score as much as possible. So I will continue to give my best and I hope the goals will come,” said determined Mark, who seemed excited to play along with Corominas and Lanzarote for FC Goa. “But we must play for three points and most importantly we must play good football,” added Mark.
Sifneos made his debut in the dying minutes of the game against Mumbai City FC, against whom they lost 3-4. However, the striker was impressed with the atmosphere at the Fatorda Stadium.
“The atmosphere is very good at Fatorda. I saw it first when I came with Kerala. I know that the Goan fans like football and they have good support. The team gave me a warm welcome and everyone is nice to me. I feel good,” said Mark.
