PANJIM: Refuting the claim of senior counsel, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that no instructions were issued by the government not to oppose the notification of Mhadei Tribunal award. Sawant statement comes hours after senior counsel Adv Arvind Datar said that it was on the instructions of the Goa government that he did not oppose the notification of the Award. In a statement issued, the Chief Minister office said that no instructions were given by anybody from the Government to not oppose notification of Mhadei award. “Government instructions are always in writing,” chief minister said. Sawant informed that following the same, government had immediately changed the lawyer and Mukul Rohatgi, ex-Attorney General appeard for the State. Now ex-ASG Narsinha appears for us, he said. “This fact is already in the public domain for more than a year. I once again appeal to the opposition to not play dirty politics on the Mhadei issue,” Sawant said.
