Navelim SC, St Sebastian, UC Orlim win

PANJIM: A 81st minute strike from Arlindo Vales enabled Navelim Sporting Club to a hard fought 2-1 win over Rumdamol Sporting Club in the Goa Football Association Third Division League played at Mandopa ground, on Friday.
The teams were tied 1-1 at the break with Rumdamol Sporting Club scoring the equalising goal through Maktum Khan as Navelim SC were well ahead in the game with a goal  scored by Enoch Pires.
The second half was more of an end-to-end affair as both the teams fought for supremacy. Ultimately after much striving, Navelim SC managed to score the match-winner with just nine minutes left on the clock.
In another match at Cavelossim ground, United Club of Orlim scored a 2-0 win over Carmona Sports Club. Both the goals were scored in the second  session of the play through Macklin Mascarenhas and Robinson Colaco.
At Dando ground, St Sebastian Union Club Benaulim scored a thrilling 4-2 win against St Rock Youth Club, Calata Majorda.
Yash Naik scored at the half hour mark as the winners led 1-0 at the breather.
In the second half Rougen Pereira made it all square but Benaulim side once again took the lead in the next minute through Presley Cardozo. Garry Fernandes scored the third before Presley netted his brace. In the second half of injury time, Rougen Pereira scored to make it 2-4.
