MARGAO: The Sessions Court, Margao on Monday adjourned the hearing in the anticipatory bail application moved by Fr Bolmax Pereira to August 8 as the Vasco Police sought time to file their reply in the matter.
The court also refused to grant Fr Pereira interim relief in the matter.

The court had issued the notices to Vasco Police, Public Prosecutor and defence lawyer and had posted the matter for police reply and arguments on the anticipatory bail application on Monday.
However as the Vasco Police had not filed their say, the matter has been posted for hearing on August 8.
It may be recalled that the Vasco Police booked Fr Pereira under Section 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship, with intent to insult the religion of any class) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the IPC.
