PANJIM: Goa boys defeated Uttar Pradesh boys by 10 runs in the final to emerge champions in 22nd Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held at Shahu Stadium, Satara, recently.
Goa won the toss and elected to bat first and managed to score only 53 runs in allotted 10 overs with Chitra scoring 21 runs and Kedar 12.
In reply, Uttar Pradesh boys failed to live up to their exceptions by scoring only 43 runs losing six wickets in 10 overs.
Kedar Zambaulikar was adjudged the best player of the championship.
