MARGAO: Marina English Verna continued their rich vein of form as they got the better of Bloomz International 5-1 in the 2nd Chowgule Sports Centre U-10 Futsal league powered by Nave Marg and organised by Youth Futsal Academy in partnership,at Chowgule Sports Centre, on Saturday.
Addison Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Rizbeen D’Costa scored a brace for the winners. Elrich Mark D’silva scored a consolation goal for Bloomz. Bloomz goalkeeper Suhaib Mala was adjudged the Man-of-the-match.
The Kings School scored a hard fought 2-1 victory over St Jude’s HS, Betalbatim.
The winners led 2-0 with goals from Ashton Rodrigues and Pranay Rivankar before Britto Severes pulled one back at the death. Goalkeeper of St Jude’s Ethan Fernandes was the Man- of-the-match.
Loyala HS, Margao hammered Child Care School Margao by 9-1.
MOTM Kiam Pinto scored four. Justin Noronha netted a brace while Valen ‘DSa, Enosh Carvalho, Mitson Barbosa scored a goal each for the winners and Shaine Fernandes scored from the spot to score the first goal for Bloomz in the League.
A blockbuster top of the table clash ended in an entertaining 1-1 draw between hosts YFA Warriors and Manovikas EMS.
Warren D’Sa opened the scoring with a thumping effort but Manovikas lead was soon cancelled out by Lochlan Sousa.
The second half produced no goals but kept everyone on the edge of their seats as Manovikas defence and Man-of-the-match goalkeeper Evan Sousa Ferrao kept the YFA attackers at bay.
Rosary HS, Navelim won a roller coaster of a game against Regina Marytrum, Assolna 8-5. MOTM Sam Pereira scored a double hat-trick and Manthan Sanzunke scored a brace.
For Regina and Chrysler Simoes scored a brace and Brac Fernandes, Mathew Noronha, Haseeb Mohammed scored a goal each.
Sherlock Dias starred for Perpetual Succour Convent HS, Navelim with seven goals as they romped to a massive 12-1 victory over Infant Jesus HS, Colva.
Taufique Gundar scored a hat-trick, Reyhan Dias and Emmanuel Gama scored a goal each. Shenoy Fernandes scored a consolation goal for Infant Jesus.
