PANJIM: The Goa Football Development Council (GFDC) distributed full kit to 120 trainees from Cortalim Football Development Centre at the hands of Member Secretary GFDC Aleixo da Costa, and Chairman of GFDC, Dr Rufino Monteiro, on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Aleixo da Costa appreciated the coaches for their continuous efforts being put in and also encouraged the trainees “If you work hard you will get a chance to become the best footballer and one day play for the International team. If you’ll play well you’ll can become famous like Mandar Rao Desai and Romeo Fernandes.”
Dr Rufino Monteiro in his speech said, “All the players will not become the best footballers but by playing every day you will keep good health and become good citizen of this country. This centre has been opened recently and I have known that this centre is doing pretty good.”
Parish Priest of Cortalim Fr Diogo Fernandes was also present for the function.
