PANJIM: Stating that recruitments in State government department will begin in the next few days, TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai said his colleague is speaking out of ‘frustration’.
Speaking to the media, Sardesai said that government jobs are an issue all are concerned about. “Recruitments is going to start soon. It is a matter of giving just one direction. Maybe in next 10 or 15 days it would start,” he said.
Refuting statements by Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo that there would be mid-term polls in the State, Sardesai said, “Michael Lobo is the affected party in today’s politics, like mining affected. He deserved to be in the cabinet and he is frustrated as he is not in,” Sardesai said. He added, “Michael believes that in this term he has no future, that makes him talk about the mid-term polls.”
Sardesai said Lobo is wrong on two aspects. “There will be no mid-term polls in Goa. I have spoken in Delhi and in Goa and there is assurance of ruling party that there will be no mid-term polls,” he said.
However, Sardesai believes Lobo can still become a minister in this government. “I believe Michael can become a minister in this term under the same dispensation. There are always ways. It is not a lost case,” he said.
