PANJIM: The Goa Football Development Council’s Khandepar center celebrated first anniversary at M.I.B.K school hall, recently.
Chairman of GFDC Dr Rufino Monteiro was the chief guest and guest of honour was Senior Human Resource Manager MRF Joaquim.
Other dignitaries present were Govind Mapari (HR-MRF), Agnelo Fonseca, Stainislaus D’Souza (members-GFDC) and Anand Vagurmekar( engineer electricity department.
On the occasion, tie-breaker was organised between parents and MRF, GFDC and MRF and trainees and GFDC. A five-a-side match was also played between parents and trainees.
Dr Rufino congratulated the trainees for winning the under-10 GFDC football tournament at Duler.
He also praised the parents for taking a lot of efforts and urged them to continue the good work so that they can reap the benefits of the GFDC center at Khandepar.
Joaquim urged the trainees to work hard so that they can bring laurels to Khandepar village.
Earlier, Olaph Fernandes, center head, welcomed the guests and also read the annual report. Children of Bal Bhavan (M.I.B.K School) Khandepar sang the welcome song.
Jude Fernandes compered while Franky Mendonsa proposed the vote of thanks.
