It appears this drainage system has been neglected for years, which also obstructs parking of two-wheelers and the smooth public movement in one of the busiest localities of Panjim market. I fail to understand why such large and wide public footpaths are required for pedestrians when the same space could be utilized for smooth public movement. The TCP, PWD, CCP and Police departments should take note of this and immediately act in solving this long-pending issue faced by the Panjim market business establishments. They also need to patch up this drainage by hot-mixing it keeping in mind to make provision for cleaning if blocked during heavy monsoon showers with immediate effect.
