PONDA: Around 200 Bandora residents were inoculated at the COVID vaccination camp organised by the Ponda Primary Health Centre (PHC) in coordination with the Bandora Panchayat.
Sarpanch Rajesh Naik said, “around 200 locals including senior citizens and those above 45 years with comorbidities were administered the vaccine.
Former MLA and freedom fighter Rohidas Naik was the first person to receive the vaccine.
Dr Smitha Parsekar said, “The COVID vaccination drive was held at Bandora Panchayat and several senior citizens visited the camp by standing in queue.”
She said, “The PHC will commence the vaccination drive at Querim Panchayat on March 16 and doctor’s prescription is mandatory.”
