VASCO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Sankalp Amonkar filed a complaint against Kodee Resources, Department of Mines and Geology, Urban Development Minister Milind Naik and Mormugao Port Trust, at Mormugao Police Station, on Saturday.
In a police complaint, Amonkar alleged that around 1,800 tonnes of iron ore from MPT was loaded into the barges and subsequently into a cargo vessel using illegal procedures.

Amonkar demanded that the machinery used in the incident be seized.
He said that he will file a Public Interest Litigation in the High Court on the issue and also made a demand that a FIR should be registered and a free and fair inquiry be initiated in this matter swiftly before the cargo vessel leaves the port with the alleged illegal iron ore.
After the handing over the complaint letter to Police Inspector Paresh Naik of Mormugao Police station, Amonkar said that he won’t be afraid from facing numerous defamation cases and at the same time he won’t stop from taking up social issues.
He also claimed that it is for the concerned government authorities to probe the matter and give justice to the people and also went ahead to say that he is willing to resign from politics if the matter raised by him is only to gain political mileage.
Later, speaking to the media persons, Amonkar said, “We have come as citizens of Goa and filed a complaint at Mormugao Police station against Kodee Resources, stevedore Milind Naik, MPT and DMG. We have produced all the necessary documents and photos.”
When questioned whether he will render his apology to the Mormugao BJP Mandal, to which Amonkar commented saying “I don’t care about BJP Mandal” and questioned “should I apologise to the Urban Development Minister, who has stolen the national assets.
“I am ready for 100 defamation cases,” he added and challenged the minister for an open debate.
