A large crater exists adjacent to Shree Maruti Temple at Varkhandem, Ponda. The situation proves dangerous for the vehicular traffic, in particular, pillion riders proceeding along this busy route.
Even pedestrians, especially senior citizens would be at a great disadvantage. During the night, there is every possibility of a mishap taking place sooner or later thereby resulting in adverse consequences.
Precious human lives are likely to be seriously injured in the process. It is absolutely necessary that public at large is assured safety on a permanent basis.
Hence it is the need of the hour for the concerned authorities to take a note of this serious matter and arrange immediate filling up of this large pothole in the interest of innocent commuters and pedestrians alike.
As on July 13, situation in this regard was found to be stagnant. Nevertheless, let us hope that prompt positive action would follow in this regard in public interest.
