MARGAO: Congress President Girish Chodankar said his party is now gearing up for Assembly Elections of 2022 and will soon go ahead with a full-fledged campaign.

Chodankar said, “The Congress is building up organisational setup in Goa and will now focus on taking the party programme to every household in Goa. The Congress is gearing up for the Assembly Elections of 2022 and will soon go ahead with our full-fledged campaign. As a step towards the same, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee has appointed block presidents in seven constituencies in Goa.”
The block presidents include Curchorem — Pushkal Sawant, Velim — Royen Viegas, Nuvem — Manuel D’Costa, Canacona — Pralay Bhagat, Cuncolim –Assis Noronha, Mayem — Sandip Naik and Poriem — Ramesh Panshekar.
“Curchorem Block President Shaikh Ali has been promoted as District General Secretary,” Chodankar added.
Congress Legislative Party leader Digambar Kamat said, “The new appointments will surely bring in new energy to the party cadre.”
He extended his best wishes to the new block presidents and assured his full co-operation to them.
