German rape case hearing adjourned

The Bombay High Court at Goa adjourned the hearing in the German girl rape case for April 27.
The suo motu petition came up for hearing on Wednesday, the Advocate General Subodh Kantak told the court that the police have already filed a charge sheet against Rohit Monserrate.
It may be recalled that the Chief Justice Swatanter Kumar had taken suo motto cognizance of the complaint filed by a German lady accusing Rohit Monserrate, son of Education Minister Antanasio Monserrate of raping her minor daughter.
Senior counsel Atmaram Nadkarni appearing for accused told the court that the petition has to be disposed of finally as the chargesheet has already been filed.
Hence, the Division Bench fixed the hearing for April 27 for finally deciding the matter after hearing both the parties.
