PANJIM: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa observatory has said that the cyclonic storm ‘Kyarr’ has moved almost 650 kms away from Goa and hence there is no weather warning for coming four days.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, IMD has said that the system has moved approximately 650 kms from Goa and based on latest observation it has minor impact on weather over the State. “No heavy rainfall warning for five days starting from October 27,” the weather department said.
However, the fishermen are advised not to venture into deep sea due to rough sea conditions as the cyclonic storm will be centred in Arabian Sea till October 30.
Goa has been witnessing one of the wettest October with 267 percent surplus post monsoon rains. Till date, State had received 539.9 mm of rainfall as against the normal 147.3 mm.
