All five accused in Anjuna tourists assault case granted bail

MAPUSA: The Sessions Court on Friday granted bail to the five accused involved in the Anjuna tourists assault case.

The accused Royston Dias, Nyron Dias, Kashinath Agarwadekar, Salim Shaikh and Joseph Lobo were granted bail with a personal bond of Rs 25, 000 each.

All were booked under section 307, 323, 324, 504 r/w 34 IPC based on the complaint filed by Ashwini Kumar Chandrani from Delhi.

The incident occurred on March 5 when the victim family were on their vacation and had checked into a resort at Anjuna.

It may be recalled that all the five arrested for brutally assaulting Delhi tourist outside a resort in Anjuna and a police sub-inspector was also suspended for dereliction of duty in the case.
