PANJIM: Goa University (GU) will re-open admissions to Masters in Computer Application (MCA) for the academic year 2017-18 after a set of students had objected to the change in the eligibility criteria.
However a fresh entrance test for admission for the same will be held on July 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. while the last date to submit online application form and fee is July 12.
A circular issued by the GU states that “Few vacancies exists for admission to Master in Computer Applications (MCA) for the academic year 2017-18. A fresh entrance test for admission for the same will be held on July 15, 2017at 10 am. The last date to submit online application form and fee is July 12”
“It is also informed that the eligibility rules for MCA admission are revised to permit any candidate passed with STD 12 Mathematics to be eligible besides having 55% marks at the first degree programme. Meanwhile, admissions to the MCA programme had to be over by June 22 but after the students said that the GU had altered the eligibility criteria within a short period, the varsity had to relax the norms and e-open the admissions to the MCA programme.
