CALANGUTE: Panchayat Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday inaugurated the newly reconstructed Saligao market.
Parsekar inaugurated the market in the presence of local MLA and Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar
The project has been constructed through Rural Development Agency at a cost of Rs 42 lakh with a provision for first and second floor construction. The foundation stone was laid by former PWD minister Churchill Alemao.
The inauguration of the project will bring a much relief to vegetable vendors, fisherfolk besides others as they were carrying out trade in a make-shift market.
