In a keenly contested match, Union of Chinchinim Villagers prevailed over Arpora Sports Club 2-0 today in the 3rd Reira Soccer being played at Sporting grounds, Saligao.
Both the teams had equal opportunities however Union of Chinchinim Villagers took the lead in the 18th minute of the match through Ryan Fernandes. Union of Chinchinim Villagers led 1-0 at lemon break.
Chinchinim had a good opportunity to increase the lead in10th minute of second half but Jorex shot over the bar.
Vency made amends for the misses and scored the second goal in 27th minute of second half bringing much relief to the Chinchinim camp. In another match that was played yesterday, Parish Youth Nuvem scored a facile 3-0 victory over Sangolda Lightning. Remy, Stephen and Richard scored the goals in 12th, 24th and 60th minute of the match.
