Labourer falls to death from electric pole

In a tragic incident, a labourer from West Bengal, Sonal Chetal Pahadi (24) died after he came crashing down from an electric pole at Majorda on Tuesday.
His co-worker Dinesh Pahadi (22) also sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.
Both the deceased and the injured hail from West Bengal.
Colva PI Edwin Colaco informed both the workers had climbed an existing iron pole in view of the ongoing work of shifting of electric lines.
Suddenly, the iron pole gave in and the two workers came crashed down along with the pole. The duo was immediately rushed to the Cansaulim Primary health centre in a serious condition.
While Sonal was declared brought dead to the health centre, Dinesh was shifted to GMC hospital.
Colva police are investigating the case.
