PANJIM: Goan swimmer Shoan Ganguly earned the Goald medal in 200 metre freestyle with a timing of 1:59:01 in the 35th Glenmark sub junior and 45th junior aquatic championship 2018 held at Balewadi, Pune, on Thursday.
Shoan also won a silver medal in 200 mtr Butterfly with the timing of 2:11:11 to better the record.
Shrungi Bandekar bagged a bronze medal in the 50 mtr Backstroke with the timing of 31.87.
Till date Goa has won 2 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals in the championship.
Shrungi Bandekar and Shoan Ganguly were trained under technical advisor Surajit Ganguly of Goa Swimming Association, in Mapusa.
