PANAJI: Vinayak Gaonkar of Navelim won the first edition of the Probyk Goa Duathlon held at the SP Mukherjee Stadium, Bambolim, on Sunday.
Vinayak Gaonkar clocked 1 hour, 6 min, 42 secs to win the event followed by Sardar Nadaf and Abhinav Wadekar in second and third place.
Ironman triathlete Nisha Madgavkar came first among the women, while Satish Gavandalkar was first in masters category. Altogether 58 participants participated in the event which was held to promote Autism Awareness Day. The athletes completed a combination of 5km run-20km cyling-2.5 km run back to back.
