MARGAO: The Additional District Magistrate of South Goa has begun proceedings against the deemed illegal structure of former Margao Municipal Council chairperson Gonzaco Rebello. The structure has been proved to be in a road widening area and the MMC Chief Officer and SGPDA had issued demolition orders against the structure in the past. The complainant has reiterated his demand for the demolition of the illegal structure. In his letter to the Additional DM the Deputy Collector had in the past pushed for its demolition. The case is due to be heard in the Additional DM’s court on September 29.
