Shristal parents demand transfer of ‘abnormal’ teacher

CANACONA: The parents of the children studying in the government primary school at Nuvem, Shristal, have complained to various authorities that a teacher of that school has been behaving abnormally.
In a written complaint, the parents have demanded that the teacher be transferred within a week, failing which they have threatened to hold a dharna at the office of the Assistant District Educational Inspector (ADEI), Canacona. 
The complaint has been submitted to ADEI, Director of Education, Canacona police and local MLA.
The parents complained to this correspondent that despite oral complains to the ADEI, he has failed in take action. One of the parents alleged that the teacher in question is a relative of the ADEI. “She doesn’t teach effectively and behaves abnormally during school hours, which has affected the students,” another parent said.
