PANJIM: A Deputy Superintendent of Police is among the seven personnel from Goa Police to receive Chief Minister’s Police (Gold) Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day, on December 19.
Likewise, three personnel from the Fire and Emergency Services will also be presented with the award of Chief Minister’s Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.
The government, on the eve of Liberation Day, approved names of DySP Gurudas Gawade (Bicholim), Police Inspector Vijaynath Kavlekar (Colva Traffic Cell), Police Sub-Inspector Surendra Komarpant (SB-Margao), Assistant Sub-Inspector Subhash Naik (Konkan Railway PS), ASI Wilson Freddy de Souza (MT Panjim), LHA Abina Noronha (Calangute PS) and ASI Dilip Sinari (Traffic Cell Ponda) for the award.
Sub Officer (Fire) Ashok Parab, leading Fire Fighter Deepak Shetgaonkar and Watch Room Operator Sitaram Kamat will also be awarded for their meritorious service.
Besides, Goa Police has declared three best police stations during the Goa Police Raising Day 2020. Curchorem Police Station, Mapusa PS and Vasco PS have been awarded with the first, second and the third best place respectively.
